Ending confusing

Sorry, I haven't read it, but it sounds interesting. Added to my wishlist.

I have often used AI to explain an ending to me. I just Google the question and often get a good explanation of a book or film.

I read it about a year ago so the precise details are too hazy. But I do remember being very confused by it - too many unbelievable strands towards the end. I even complained about the book at the book club I go to.

I haven't read it but I have just finished 'Audition', by Katie Kitamura, Booker Prize 2025. It was extremely well written in terms of literary inclusion but it was too me very boring and with a very small overall story over embellished by language. The ending was predicatable and uninteresting in my view.

One time I asked AI about the ending of a book and it gave a long spiel about it that made me wonder if I'd slept through the ending. I mentioned that the ending never went that far and it told me, "You're right, I had a hallucination." A few comments later it again had a hallucination. So maybe not so reliable always.
