Looking for a book

I’ve just read and enjoyed the more recently written one set in France at the end of the 19c. The one set in the UK seems to have a suspiciously similar plot, presumably set in more recent times since she has a backpack…

My House in Umbria by William Trevor has the same plot!

Retread

AI suggests it is The Paris Express by Emma Donoghue, it says:

The story features a young, radical anarchist named Madeleine "Mado" Pelletier who boards the train clutching a homemade bomb hidden inside her metal lunch pail (or bag). She enters the third-class carriage with the strict intention of detonating it before reaching Paris to make a political statement.

The Lives of the Passengers: The book is a multi-perspective look at the diverse lives of the people on board.

Hope this helps!

I like films like this book Crash. Babel.

The girl on the train , set during ww2

anything by kirsten hannah but especially the nightingale

That sounds like an interesting book, however, also possibly quite sad.

Glad you identified it

Found it thanks to google.
It’s the silence between breaths by Cath Staincliff.

Thanks but it is set in Britain
