My littlest DGD came for a visit and we're trying to teach her to say 'Ta'. She knows where the biscuits are kept and asked for one...so I asked her,'What do you say?' and she replied,'Yum, yum' . I couldn't stop laughing.
My son got chickenpox when he was about six and we jokingly called it the galloping abdabs. He came rushing up to me a little while later, all excited, saying "Mum, I've got another galloping abdab."
Chickenpox was rife in the nursery where GD goes. Her daddy had a look at her ans told her he did not thing she had got it. Gd had a think and then said '' well maybe we can buy some''
We were on holiday in Falmouth and looking at a map of the area posted up on a notice board. My son pointed to the words "You are Here" and, in an amazed voice, said "How do they know we're here Mum?"
My GC came over and we had our neighbours children staying with us for the afternoon, when they left my GC asked me " do you have new grangchillldren now Nanny!!
I suppose that is me getting a telling off Nonu but every one is entitled to their own opinion surely. I do not have bad thoughts about MT just a bad feeling and you know how we are always being told to trust our instincts......?
Oh, poor Mr Tumble! Justin Fletcher is a marvellous children's entertainer and has received a BAFTA for his efforts - if you watch him communicating so well with children who have special needs you'll be a fan, too!
My DGC have never had a chance to get to know Mr Tumble as DDs and I are agreed that there is something creepy about him. Can't quite put our fingers on it but we all feel the same.
Not mine, but a neighbour's daughter (I spent the night, when mum had gone into labour with baby 2) Told her in the morning that mummy had had a baby girl, and was she happy to have a new baby sister? "Hmmm. I'd rather have a rabbit" she replied
After hearing the computer announcement saying that we were at Turnham Green yesterday my grandson looked around in the carriage and asked if we were turning green yet.
Yesterday my grandson was listening in to a phone call his dad was having, and making funny comments (like they do ).
So, I said to him that some people had been listening to other people's phone calls and had got told off very much by the Government! And some of them got sent to prison!!
His face fell for all of ten seconds and then he said, "Oh yes! Phone hacking!"
How does a six year old get to know about these things?!
Wow Seagran that's a lotta love. My GS is 2 and a bit and I know how highly he regards tractors! However his favourite right now has to be the Fire Engine followed by the Police car! Am sure he'd approve of Janthea's GS's ideas.
