Just had our first PTFA meeting at school this morning getting ready for the coming year. We all felt that we needed a few new fundraisers as the same old ones are getting a little tired(and I dont mean me grin), has anyone got any idea's?

Over the course of one half-term we did a 5p collection each Monday- they are such fiddly things people were glad to send one or two in.
350 children x 5p = £17.50 x 6 weeks = £105
The only 'work' was advertising in the school newsletter and then banking them!
However, everyone is counting the pennies now sadly.

Already mentioned about auctions ... could you get a few children (under parental guidance of course) or adults ,write to a few people to donate things such as as football clubs , TV / radio personalities , ask for things or signed photos ... not saying any or all will reply ... but I know this worked many years ago personally ... also if anyone in the school has a famous or near famous relative / friend could auction them for free ... just mention in the letter what it is for, also school name address etc, so this can be checked out ... could offer free tea/coffee/ squash at the end ... maybe a biscuits ... all the best
