Favourite lines disappearing from shops

GoldenGran, are you thinking of Bonbons? I was never too keen on those, but the kids liked them.
Nestle used to make a chocolate bar called Nestles Triple Bar, 3 layers, dark, white and milk chocolate, I loved them. Also, Fry`s made 2 similar bars, one had a layer of milk chocolate sandwiched between 2 layers of dark, and the other was the opposite way round, a layer of dark between 2 layers of milk. Loved them as well, but can`t remember the names.

Phew, I was about lobby parliament, to bring pressure to bring them back.

No Goldengran! I just meant the last box of Black Magic that I was given.

oh no jinglej have Black Magic gone? .my mother used to by caramel covere in a sugar coating, they were softish, can't remember the name, haven't seen them for years

Coffee creams have disappeared from selection

Clothes I depend on as staples also seem to be the ones they disconitnue. It's harder to find simple 100% cotton tops - they always have horrid things like Elastine in them.

My DD took my last box of Black Magic away to stop me stuffing them all at once.

She had a stressful week and she ate them.

You know when you start reading a thread and you are sitting there like the Churchill nodding dog - I hadn't realised so many things had disappeared - just thought perhaps I needed new varifocals to find them. The weedkiller is one I noticed though - it was the only thing that did the trick.

Oh the cherry Black Magic! Much missed.

And the strawberry cream in Quality Street isn`t runny anymore.

They've changed so many of the chocolates in the Roses selection. Why did they have to mess about with the hazlenut whirl, it just doesn't taste the same any more.

The butterscotch were good, but I liked to crunch them, which was not good for my teeth.

I suppose they had to resuscitate the moulds etc and only did a few types.

Mmmmmm, can almost taste them!

Toffee and mallow - my favourite.

Elegran, yes, I`ve had the revised Black Magic, but my real favourites aren`t in there, toffee and mallow, liquid cherry, butterscotch, I loved those.

Weedkiller that used to selectively kill couch grass. It was called Weedout, I think. Presumably it contained something that is now banned - but it worked and I could do with it right now.

M&S black pepper & herb oatcake's,now you can only buy them in special Christmas selection pack's of cracker's,as no demand so I'm told.

numberplease t least Black Magic have discontinued the trendy square box they brought out as a replacement to the old traditional one. Every chocolate tasted the same - horrible!

They now do a box of selected flavours (only half a dozen varieties) that are mostly the same as the original. I do think they taste sweeter, though. Maybe that is my taste buds.

M and S individual chicken curry. Delicious with some sliced banana, mango chutney, and coconut. Also it could be cooked from frozen. When asked why it had been discontinued was told-youve guessed it- NO DEMAND!

M&S cheddar cheese and walnut flatbreads, completely gone ask an assistant " no demand for them" I want them, I liked to eat them while watching X factor something highbrow.

I keep looking for the nut cluster's in Dairy Box but they have vanished as well.

Spangles made a brief reappearance a few years ago, then disappeared again. I particularly liked the acid drop ones.

Coloured ones aren`t "on trend " anymore, or so I`ve been informed by my (oh so trendy!) daughter.

I miss Terry`s Neapolitans, one of my favourite chocolate boxes. And Black Magic have changed for the worst as well.

Actually any coloured bathroom suites. I only ever see white ones.
