Christmas advert

I like the twist in the story of this advert I think it is sweet

Well, yes. I like it.

My point is they are being all smarmsy and "ah, isn't it sweet", when really they are just trying to make as much quick profit out of Christmas as they can.

Oh, never mind!

It's just a bit hypocritical.

PS I like the John Lewis advert - I don't care how commercial and cynical it might be, no TV commercial is different in that respect, but some are more watchable than others.

I read an article about the little boy in the ad,his name is Lewis and he lives in Glasgow,his father was auditioned to play the father in the advert and was refused as they did not look alike,I love the advert and think it is the best of all the Christmas ads that are on at the moment,with the exception of Coca Cola which I have liked for years all the lights on the truck and big laughing Santa on the tailgate fab !!

I must have a look at this ad. Usually I record and the fast forward over them so they have no impact on me at all.

Ah, yes, heartstrings now well and truly tugged!
