For me, it would the late Jimmy Seville, Cliff Richards, John Redwood, John Prescott, the Pope, Noel Edmonds and Ricky Gervais and Putin and all the Republican presidential candidates.

I know we shouldn't laugh at somebody else's downfall (schadenfreude?) but I can't help feeling a bit amused that both Huhne and his wife are likely to be convicted of perverting the course of justice.

Al Fayed, Neil and Christine Hamilton, Jeffrey Archer, Joan Collins...

Most of those mentioned plus: Stephen Fry - used to like him but he is EVERYWHERE and I'm fed up with the sight if him. Also Nigella Lawson - Mrs Supersmug, Janet Street-Porter and Mary Portarse - much gnashing of my teeth!!!

Agree with maniac about Keith Lemon, also David Dickinson & the late Hughie Green.

I had to google Keith Lemon and I see he is a fictional character! Yes, Hughie Green was certainly creepy.

greenmossgiel Mon 19-Mar-12 14:54:35

Oh - and Edwina Currie..

shock! Mr Tumble???!!!!

Why?!

Carol Mon 19-Mar-12 15:03:55

NOOOO!! Not Mr Tumble (Justin Fletcher). My grandsons adore him and are going to see him in the CeeBeebies show at the MEN Arena in a week or two. He's lovely! smile

Jacey Mon 19-Mar-12 15:15:20

What is a "Mr. Tumble"? confused

Anagram Mon 19-Mar-12 15:31:20

I thought Keith Lemon was real! shock

And Mr Tumble isn't creepy in my book!

greenmossgiel Mon 19-Mar-12 15:32:01

And Ricky Tomlinson.

Carol Mon 19-Mar-12 15:33:11

Mr Tumble is a hapless children's character played by Justin Fletcher, for pre-school children. He signs and plays with children of mixed abilities on CeeBeebies.

Nick Knowles - unutterably laddish and everything he says comes out fortissimo. The way he uses his vocal chords leads me to hope that one day they will fail him. If Michael Gove is on TV I have to change channel.

nanachrissy Mon 19-Mar-12 16:06:55

All of the above and especially Keith Lemon. He is an alter ego of Lee Francis, although doesn't seem to be much difference! He is disgustingly vile and obscene.

Greatnan Mon 19-Mar-12 16:10:29

Robert Peston. Norman Tebbit My ex son-in-law.
Funny, I don't seem to find nearly as many women to make my flesh crawl!

Jacey Mon 19-Mar-12 16:27:34

Thank you Carol

grannymoo Mon 19-Mar-12 17:13:47

John Mckririck has to be the most revolting man on TV oh and Hugh Grant turns my stomach too!

Oh dear, Greenmossgiel, I ADORE Cliff Richard, have done since 1958, and I also quite like Ricky Tomlinson as well.
Elegran, I know what you mean about the voice overs on kids programmes, only this morning I was in stitches when the narrator on In the Night Garden said, "Makapakka, Upsy Daisy has got something for you"!
Can I add Wayne Rooney to the list?

greenmossgiel Mon 19-Mar-12 17:38:31

numberplease - I like Ricky Tomlinson in The Royle Family, but I can't stand him in that advert for Farmfoods (although that seems to have tailed off now). We saw him in a one man show a few years ago and decided that he wasn't really very pleasant about lots of people that he's worked with. Good on the banjo though! As for Cliff.....'Peter Pan of Pop?'.....confusedgrin

Green, I`ve only ever seen Ricky Tomlinson on TV, never in a live show, but I did read his autobiography, and found that he really doesn`t like Cilla Black, but then he`s probably not alone. I don`t think of Cliff as a Peter Pan, I`ve just adored him since he were nobbutt a lad!

Greatnan Mon 19-Mar-12 18:06:55

I just wish Cliff Richard would come out of the closet and be done with it! It hasn't done Elton John or George Michael any harm. I hated the way he used to pull his mouth when he was singing.

bikergran Mon 19-Mar-12 18:22:18

The one with the bald head in Little Britain....

The late Benny Hill

Annobel Mon 19-Mar-12 18:31:42

Agreed, biker, and Ricky Gervais. I also shudder at that invisible woman (India something) who does the voice over in Masterchef.

Mishap Mon 19-Mar-12 18:59:40

Oh - where to start!?
Tony Blair, Maggie Thatcher, Melvyn Bragg, David Cameron.

There is something about becoming PM that makes people stop talking like a normal human being - it is interesting to compare older recordings of these people. Oh boy, does that supercilious mealy-mouthed PM voice make me want to puke!

Anagram Mon 19-Mar-12 19:15:23

I notice no one's mentioned Ed Miliband.....confused
