When my DS was two we were on holiday in Bridlington, he was sitting on a wooden post but as a big wave came in he launched himself into the sea. Need eyes in the back of the head.

I fished him out really quickly, and he was very pleased with himself aferwards. 
Took great delight in showing his soaking wet self to his mum and bro. He was sailing his remote control boat we gave him for Xmas. DH had told him not to stand on that bit, but I thought it was fine. And he did say he always stands there. 
DH had to go in and retrieve the controller.
I didn't know I could move that fast! It was a fantastic rescue!
