As I've said on another thread, Dr Phil Hammond. He is cheerful, irreverent and very funny. I'd forget to eat.

Clooney?
Having considered this for some time, I am glad to say that the two people I am most likely to have dinner with are also the two I would choose!
One is a fellow Gransnetter that I met on a different forum and the other one is my daughter in NZ. If we are ruling out family members, then I would have two more gransnetters because I am sure all three of them would get on very well.

On one hand I would enjoy exploring the mind of Aung San Suu Kyi...and on the other, I wouldn't say no to brushing knees with Inspector Montalbano grin

You are all so funny with some of your suggestions (some a bit suspect).
I have always said Christopher Biggins (I love his sense of humour) did anyone see him in Come Dine with me? but second, yes agree with nelliedeane BRENDAN SHHENAN!!!

David Gemmell's Dark Prince is a novel about Alexander the Great. Also God of War by Christian Cameron.

So who would your ideal dinner guest be, Pamaga?
