You have all had such good ideas for greatnan I thought I'd ask for help too.
I hate formal dressing so was really relieved when our youngest daughter announced that she was running away to get married! Our middle daughter will be getting married in a hotel in November so I expect to wear something formal for that. I also expect our younger son to announce a small wedding sometime soon. My mother was very disparaging about my outfit of white trousers and top teamed with a longline pink silk jacket (and PINK shoes) for our eldest daughter's wedding - has no bearing but I still feel aggrieved!! To complete the picture, when our eldest son got married in Japan, I wore a pale yellow jacket over a silk dress with bright red and lemon flowers on it. Everyone else came on their way home from shopping - I always get it wrong!!
My problem is - what to wear for the barbecue, at a local hotel, which our middle daughter is holding at the beginning of July to celebrate her 'elopement' There will be around 200 guests and, although totally informal, her 'Don't worry Mum - wear whatever you like', doesn't quite cut it!
Please help!!
