imjingl Mon 23-Apr-12 14:11:52

imjingl Mon 23-Apr-12 11:41:57

I had planned to celebrate by visiting the best bit of English countryside I can reach by bike. But it's raining. sad hmm

imjingl Mon 23-Apr-12 11:40:33

granjura Mon 23-Apr-12 11:38:48

In the UK I always celebrated St Georges day by going to the countryside to pick delicious St Georges wild mushrooms and make a big 'Croustade' - one of my mum's favourite recipes, puff pastry, wild mushrooms and cream with a layer of ham. Pure fuke and good luck, with have a big circle of them in our field here - but they are not even showing their noses, as it has been so cold and even snowy. Will celebrate when they are ready!
