Thank you all for kind messages grin

dorsetpennt sorry you are snuffling! That is one of the hazards of small children! Have never been ill so often as in my first year of teaching (5-6 yr olds) as well as constant colds and coughs I had bronchitis (never before or since!) , german measles & ringworm!!!!

soop Mon 21-May-12 12:45:14

dorsetpennt...Mr soop and I ALWAYS return home with whatever our wee man has picked up. It's par for the course! Wild horses wouldn't prevent us from visiting him...let alone a few stray bugs hmm smile

soop Mon 21-May-12 14:13:30

Trawling through countless folders containing 100s of sunset images as seen from our sitting room. If I don't stop uploading [in my photos], right this minute, I shall never wash the dishes or deal with the basket of laundry. smile

Have been gardening for most of the day, making the most of the glorious weather; however, managed to crack my head on the roof of the shed and saw *****. I now have a large dent on my upper forehead - hope the brain (what's left of it) doesn't seep out grin

Had a lovely day with DD and DGD -we went to visit DGS at Uni. We met him and his lovely girlfriend and all went to have lunch and then had a sit on Swansea beach -beautiful sandy expanse and very quiet.
The two studious ones went back to continue revising and we boarded the coach home. DH met me at the stop and here I am back at home looking at a lovely sunny hillside dotted with sheep. Just need a glass of vino and all will be perfect.

Annobel Mon 21-May-12 18:27:43

Gally, please look after yourself - it's so easy to bash your head if you have a low door on your shed as I have. I've put a precautionary notice on mine, but don't always see it.
After the extreme exertion of the U3A writing group, I have been sitting reading in the garden, determinedly ignoring the weeds. sunshine

Gally!! Ouch - be careful! confused

jeni Mon 21-May-12 21:12:33

Well! Had a lovely day, but back to work tomorrow! ApparentlyDGD fell asleep in her high chair over tea! She was so tired! First day at the childminders + mum, then granny coming with noisy toys!
Long day for a little girl, and granny!
So! [O] that's a virtual moon!
Goodnight all!

Anagram Mon 21-May-12 21:14:05

Today I bought an old mahogany bookcase from a second hand shop in the village. The shop also had an old cast iron single bed with (brass knobs on!) so that's now settled in my spare bedroom....all plumped up with eiderdown and ready for me for when the 'other 'alf' snores! grin

Butternut Tue 22-May-12 19:43:30

Elegran Tue 22-May-12 20:03:49

If it starts before you go on holiday, it won't be over until after you get home, if it is the same one I had and most of the people I know have had.

jeni Tue 22-May-12 20:13:21

Well I had another one from her earlier!
I'm just going to hope! Holiday is in14days time, so should be over the worst!smile

Archery lesson again yesterday. Very good fun and fascinating history of how bows were developed in different parts of the world, how they were used and so on. I'm starting with a 'pull' (or 'draw') weight of about twenty pounds (I think! Will check that). English and Welsh bowmen defending the country used to pull about one hundred and twenty pounds!!

Butternut Wed 23-May-12 07:04:34

Oooh, that's interesting and fun B. I did a little many, many moons ago and I was surprised by the relative complexity of the sport. What's your eye like?

Bags Wed 23-May-12 09:08:48

My eye?
