Yesterday had a champagne lunch with friends to celebrate a couple of birthdays, then off to the dentist. In the evening I went to the cinema with my eldest son - who is on a flying visit home for some TLC after the stress of university exams (his finals). This morning I was off to the dental technician (one and a half hour round trip) with son to keep me company. Then took him for a special lunch (I stuck to the veggie soup glass) and a quick visit to my in-laws before putting him on a train back to Uni and more revision. Did a couple of hours work this evening and spoke to the Wonderful Man, then prepared dessert for tomorrow when I have 10/11 people for dinner. Have a pamper morning with daughter tomorrow! grin

Since tea-time, I've been having an archery lesson, and driving to it and back again, with DD and DH.

Watching the inauguration of the new French President on TV. An impressive ceremony, but the poor man is now getting soaked, waving from an open car. Just off to have lunch with French friends to help them inaugurate their new dining room in the garden. Less ceremony, but plenty of champagne, no doubt.

soop Tue 15-May-12 10:51:48

glamma Very soon your smile will sparkle. Mr soop has a top, front tooth missing. He's waiting for treatment. The gap bothers him, and I shall be pleased for his sake when the crown is part and parcel of his cheeky grin

glammanana Tue 15-May-12 10:26:34

Thanks girls, why when you are anxious about anything the fingers on the stupid clock seems to go around faster ?? Just off to have a shower and wash the locks so will gringrin later.

Annobel Tue 15-May-12 10:16:20

Think of the end result, glamma and how you'll be able to live up to your username even more than usual. grin

nanachrissy Tue 15-May-12 10:07:15

glamma good luck and I'm sure you'll be smileing and grin ing all the way home" sunshine

Gally Tue 15-May-12 10:03:09

When I came south nearly 3 weeks ago I was looking forward to drought conditions (?sunshine) but we have only had 2 reasonable days while, at home, almost on the Arctic, they have enjoyed many more sunny days than normal, although I hear everything has now returned to the status quo! It's so depressing; we were looking forward to wheeling the new baby out in his carriage to take the air, but instead have to stay indoors and watch the incessant rain. I think I may have to take an Antipodean trip!! wink
Glamma Be brave - just think how glammarous you will look this afternoon! grin

greenmossgiel Tue 15-May-12 09:57:36

grin (this will be you showing off your new gnashers this afternoon, glamma)! It'll be like a walk in the park - you'll be fine. I'll be thinking about you! smile

glammanana Tue 15-May-12 09:53:25

Good morning everyone please spare a thought for me later on this morning as I have to go to the dentist and have old bridging removed and replaced with 3 new teeth,I am such a baby but it needs to be done I have been so self consious about the gap since the bridge snapped but the day has finally arrived for the "Donny Osmond" smile to be replaced,I have made a big pan of veg soup this morning so I will have that for supper this pm.confused

Oxon70 Tue 15-May-12 09:53:10

It's wet here.
I've been mainly trying to manage to walk, as my bad vein in my leg is painful...saw doctor yesterday and got gel to put on it, but not support stocking as they didn't have it...it's eased off a bit now. Have crepe bandage.

Hoping for gardener tomorrow!
