Happy Birthday absent have a lovely day I've been without a computer all week and have really missed popping on here. I've got my DD's laptop for a few days but I just don't like typing on it. Hoping my new PC will arrive next week, my old one of 7 years finally died on me so have had to replace it.
Today 'we', by that I mean D3, SIL, GD and new GS have been on a big adventure - first outing for Hamish and Mummy since his birth day. We went for a walk at Cliveden and very cold it was too; the walk made us all hungry, so we ate a disgusting (and expensive) National Trust sausage roll with an equally revolting cup of tea, but who cares when it was such fun to all be out in the fresh (brrr) air together
Gally that's lovely - in a few more weeks you will be strolling in the sunshine and the baby will be joining in with the chatter. It's good fun walking with the stroller and baby-gazing in beautiful surroundings
absent Sorry its a late birthday greeting from me Happy birthday Today I have done quite a bit in rain soaked area we call the garden ! Grass has been cut, onion sets are in (well some not going to put them all in at once ). DH has put in the seed potatoes at last didnt think he was ever going to get round to it. Tomatoes are looking good in our little grow house and tomorrow ( if the rain holds out) I am going to get something nice , perhaps a garden ornament to remember my friend by , but what do I get. She had a very good sense of humor so must pick something that shouts fun. no gnomes or DH will go nuts.
Sunday evening meal: garlic mushrooms on toast, topped with chopped fresh parsley. Satisfying and so easy to prepare. And now my little house reeks of garlic.
Sorry I missed your birthday, absent! I hope you had a really lovely day. [cake] Gally - how lovely! The walk in the cold would burn up the stodgy calories of the rotten National Trust sausage roll (makes it sound quite an old sausage roll)!
