But, since you don't seem to have noticed, I am one of those dreadful people who is not afraid of climate change. Actually, the talk now is of a cooling phase — far more worrying than warming, but humanity has coped with it before so no doubt we will again. Time will tell.

I'll take my teasing on this subject elsewhere now

Just heard from DS1 who has managed to get his caravan back from stormy Devon. they gave up in the face of howling gales and took seven hours to get back from Woolacombe (spelling?) to Sandhurst because everyone else was deserting Devon as well. Good to know that they're all safe and sound. I'll be seeing them at the weekend.

Oh, what a shame they had to move away from Devon. Glad they're all ok Annobel

Thinking about what I'll need for a scout camp over the weekend. Winter clothes, waterproofs, storm lashings for the tents.

Good morning all, I hope bags is fairing better with the weather for her camping trip, the poor runners in the Blaydon Races are going to get very very wet today.

Dry here glass so am hoping the runners will avoid a soaking.
DD did the race a few years ago and she said it was great but the weather was completely different

Back from Devon and yes, the traffic on Thursday was horrendous. But we have an offer in for a house down there, and ours is under offer, so it was a profitable trip. Fingers crossed time as the solicitors get to work....slowly, I imagine? Am trying not to get excited. DD did the second viewing for us and confirmed that it was definitely for us. DG1 loved it because she could see herself popping in during a free Y 12 lesson!

Booking rail tickets and hotel accommodation in readiness for a wonderful treat...a trip to London for cuddles with our darling wee man.

Just spoken to DD, she had her 1st 1/2 day back at work today! She was fine but she is sure Dgdd had been crying and wasn't happy when collected! I do hope things get better over the week![sad\
