Scout and Cub camp a great success in spite of the midges' efforts. Have discovered military issue midge repellent that actually works and how to tie a bowline with one hand (can do it ambidextrously too). We had midge weather, hot sunshine, pouring rain, and everything in betweeen, plus lots of fun in all the weathers. I think we tired the kids out. DD, who is a scout and was there, had a shower when we returned home, wrapped herself in a towel and fell asleep on the bathroom floor! I have washed a gazillion sooty teatowels and am now heading to bed myself. Tomorrow will sort out the sleeping bags, wet tent, boots, dirty clothes........ zzzzzzz

Mr soop and I have had great fun. We've booked train tickets and hotel accommodation for our next visit to see wee man in the big city. Countdown starts as of NOW!

The final between Rafa and Djoco was one of the most exciting matches that I've watched on television. Such stamina and athleticism! Sporting contestants and perfect gentlemen. Congrats Rafa. Love you to bits!
