Anyone Else Up Yet ......... Vol. 2

Good morning everyone. Have already had a whinge on "Today..." so that will do me for a while. Lots to do today, but not yet, oh Lord!

That's a thought.
My little gardener man has been up a ladder and cleared some of the ivy - trouble is he can't reach the stems that go to the roof!
What is needed is for these to be cut, and this is what I asked in my notes.....

I found the CAB, but it is closed today, wouldn't you know it. However I have a phone number.

Alie, the CAB just 'loves' neighbour issues - they are usually so hard to solve! I suggest a hefty dose of powerful weedkiller on a dark night....

Dull here in Oxon. Not actually raining - maybe I can dig a bit later.
I plan to go to the library, since I have run out of the books my sister brought, and also to investigate the new address of the CAB, as I have problems with my neigbours' ivy on my house..........they are very reclusive and haven't answered my notes!

My best neighbour is away in Spain (nice if you can do it - her son and family are there) but we plan to shop when she is back.

kitty, happy anniversary to you and your OH. It will be tinged with sadness but will also be a day to remember the happier times.

A dull day here so far, I am planning to go back to my exercise class this morning to gently start stretching my bad back.
I really notice how much I stiffen up when I can't go, don't like this ageing stuff!

It must be quite dark when you wake, Bags. My body clock works on daylight, so I woke a little later today. Autumn has come very quickly - Juragran will notice a big change in the foliage when she gets home next Monday. It is very beautiful, but rain is forecast for the rest of the week, so my walks will be restricted.

I was very touched yesterday to receive a phone call from an English friend of Juragran's, who lives in this area, just checking I was not too lonely. I have met her only once, at a party here last December. How kind most people are.

Today is our 42nd wedding anniversary . I still don't know how that happened. One minute you are dancing the Gay Gordons (cue great hilarity from children!!) the next you have five children, 4.5 grandchildren, 4 sort of grandchildren and a really old dog!

We are also going to the funeral of a friend who has been in our lives for more than those 42 years.
