I woke at 7 a.m. but that is 6 a.m. your time, so I have just listened to the programme about religion that I recorded last night. Slightly overcast, but not enough to stop me walking up the mountain after breakfast.

I went back to bed, but couldn't get back to sleep. I found myself thinking about disconnecting and draining the washing machine.....! For heaven's sake!! So - coffee and making a list of things to do today.

DH is taking garden plants that are in tubs and essentials to Devon on Saturday, as we will be "camping" in the new house while we have some work done (DD is plant sitting) so our main stuff will be in storage for a few weeks. So it's all to do with what's needed now, what's needed soon, and what I can leave to the movers. Hey ho!

I woke with a nightmare at 3.30am, have tried reading myself back to sleep but given up.

Good morning! Another "suddenly wide awake" moment which I really, really don't need at the moment. My own fault - we were at a farewell meal with friends in our favourite Gurkha restaurant, and I ate just a bit too much (and probably drank a bit too much too!) DH and I left with some lovely gifts and wearing the silk scarves with which the Gurkha friends draped us -it's a mark of respect and we felt very honoured.

Ah well; I shall have to have a little nap later today...

Hello again everyone - sorry I haven't been around for a while. I did get a PM or two - thanks. I had my meds changed and I've been concentrating on eating the right things. Feeling less depressed but trying to catch up with the house and garden. Got some more sleeping stuff so not so tired.

I see they are still squabbling about religion here, that was something that put me off when I dropped in to lurk and see what was happening.....

Lovely day here, my gardener might turn up as his car failed its MOT yesterday. when he was supposed to come.
I hve lost weight and got jeans in Sainsbury's but they are too tight round the thighs - what kind of jeans have loose legs these days? Are there any?
Returning these ones.

Well they say third time lucky! I've been insisting my boiler is not working properly! The corgi man kept saying there's nothing wrong!
Well yester day he found out that a valve is not switching it to central heating!
I sometimes think that men assume because you're female you have no mechanical knowledge!
I'm NOT A DUMB BLONDE! I'm not even blonde! In fact as I have Alevel physics I'm probably more qualified than him!

I've been lumbering logs from the garage to the house for the last few weeks. I have never had to cope with such heavy, splintery wood before. I think it's some form of Ironbark - I can only heave one at a time with both hands which are now full of huge splinters. Never mind, next week it'll be back to the underfloor heating again

Well done, grannybug. I'm getting DH to take a day off work when our wood is delivered. It would take me a week to stack it by myself.

Well done, grannybug. I am very happy because my daughter rang me from New Zealand and we had a lovely, long chat. Her daughter and her daughter's fiance had kept the house and garden in perfect order for a month and the dogs were ecstatic to see them home. I will sleep well tonight!

Just make sure you don't leave any spaces between square brackets and words.
So a smile is square bracket, type the word smile, square bracket

Open square brackets type the word, for example, flowers, then close square brackets.

can anyonetell me how to use the smileys, it says type word in brackets but does not seem to work what am I doing wrong?
