Good Morning all! sunshine

The only wound I've ever had trouble with was that recent wasp sting. I don't remember ever having an infected wound before. I've used the manuka honey up now. Might get some more if I ever get stung by a wasp again.

The berry bugs are trombiculidae

annodomini Sat 15-Sept-12 22:32:33

Are they peculiar to the East of Scotland?

Ariadne Sun 16-Sept-12 06:44:46

Good morning! Happily awake (DH in Devon) drinking coffee and planning final tasks before the removal people arrive tomorrow. My goodness, the time has flown since we accepted the offer.

Bags Sun 16-Sept-12 07:11:41

Good morning, ari. Hope the move all goes smoothly tomorrow and that you settle in to your new place quickly. Do you have a lot to do today, or is it just a waiting game now?

Gagagran Sun 16-Sept-12 07:44:28

Morning Ariadne - am thinking of you and hoping you have a good move tomorrow. The weather forecast looks alright - nothing worse than a wet removal. I'm sure you're ready to keep the removal men well stocked up with drinks (tea I mean!) and biscuits - they use so much energy. One or our removal men was built like a whippet but oh boy could he lift things! Amazing!

Ariadne Sun 16-Sept-12 07:54:43

bags I am right back in Army wife mode, when we moved every two years or so!

Our stuff goes into storage for a while, but there's a room with stuff we need to take/have to hand.

We move into a hotel tomorrow night, then down to DS1 in Cheltenham for the weekend, then finally to Devon on Monday, where we complete that sale. Suppose now it's dealing with things a s they come to mind - but noting them down quickly so I don't forget! Theseus is on his way home now.

gaga I have the tea, coffee and biscuits ready, and remembered to buy milk. (We don't take it.)

ariadne - You're sounding very organised, so I expect and hope all to go well for you in the next few days! sunshine

bikergran Sun 16-Sept-12 08:37:19

I would love to "like" honey as the Manuka Honey seems to be a cure all..but the smell of it alone puts me off hmm

harrigran Sun 16-Sept-12 11:41:52

Good luck Ariadne you sound so organised that I am sure everything will go like clockwork smile

Ariadne Mon 17-Sept-12 03:40:11

JessM Mon 17-Sept-12 07:25:52

Good morning folks. Back from the land of the Basques last night. We had a nice interesting and relaxing break but am i glad to see a bowl of porridge cooked in my own kitchen... No cake in sight - what is it with the Spanish and their cake for breakfast?

PRINTMISS Mon 17-Sept-12 07:32:08

Two things on the go today - never rains but it pours - first one is a meeting with those people who care for our son, and other parents, trying to make life more interesting for everyone, including carers, then straight from there to the hospital to find out if the monitor my busband had fitted for heart problems has discovered what happens when things go a bit off kilter for him. Don't think there will be an answer at either of these meetings, but we have to go along, because everyone is trying to help.

All the best for the move, Ariadne. I hope it's as lovely a day in Devon as it is here, to welcome you and augur well for your future there. sunshine

Glad to have you back, Jess.

Ariadne Mon 17-Sept-12 09:47:39

I am now sitting here (until they take the settee) while 4 lovely men rush round with boxes. Theseus is having a lovely time, going to the tip, to our charity depot, and unplugging things (like the wi fi router) that I then plug back in!
