Been up at 1.00 am, 2.00am, 3.00am will youngest granddaughter. What else can you do with a 16 month old who just wants to play. hmm

This morning I've already been up and about for quite some time and have so much to do I need an elastic day! No time to catch up on what's been happening on GN so I'm convinced I'm missing all sorts of interesting posts. hmm

In the last month I've visited Cornwall, York, Kent, Essex, Lesvos and Edinburgh. (No more trips planned until after son's wedding in November thankfully.) Now it's down to earth with a bump - I'm teaching in less than thirty minutes, have the in-laws coming for tea (lovely) then off to the theatre to see a show. (MIL is the Musical Director.)

Good morning to you all. I'm doing "catch up" with the latest happenings.
For the record, we called at SEPA's office on our return journey from the Edinburgh gathering. Although we had no appointment, the staff were very helpful, and we were able to chat at length with a very nice young man [who gave us plenty of useful info'.] It appears that drainage on the orchard plot will not be as problematical as feared. smile

soop Fri 05-Oct-12 15:19:39

Oldgreymare Sat 06-Oct-12 06:17:33

I'm up, alarm went off at 6 a.m. Now to get ready for the BIG day grin

Ariadne Sat 06-Oct-12 06:49:50

Morning all!

OGM have lost track of things - what is happening today? Your grin tells me it's something happy, so best wishes for a lovely day!

I have found, and been to, a good hairdresser down here, so am feeling positively human today. Our new bed arrived yesterday and oh, the bliss - of sleeping in it, before you lot start getting ideas.

Meeting DD for coffee later today, another nice thing...

DH off early to golf (in the rain, = crazy) usually I can snuggle but this morning wide awake. So, brew piece of toast, check in here, do a spot of online shopping (something I've had my eye on) and then on the couch to watch 'My Week With Marilyn'. Bliss.

Midlands meet up Ariadne. Some people are coming up from the Bristol direction etc. and E Midlands, to Birmingham. I'm lucky as an easy hour on the train, all being well.
Nothing like a comfy bed is there. I find that is the down-side of travelling - those rock hard mattresses that repel your body.

Bags Sat 06-Oct-12 07:31:12

Have fun in Brum, you lot! smile

jeni Sat 06-Oct-12 08:11:39

Thanks bags
I'm up, showered, dressed, bejewelled, coiffured. Now I'm exhausted. Think ill go back to bed and give it a miss!

Bags Sat 06-Oct-12 08:16:49

You wouldn't dare! Maniac will be round at your house rousting you! grin

whenim64 Sat 06-Oct-12 08:20:59

Have a fantastic time, everyone. Come back and tell us everything, won't you? smile

jeni Sat 06-Oct-12 08:21:57

Might decide to stay and relive my uni days!

Grannyknot Sat 06-Oct-12 08:35:21

re jeni's post - there are some funny twitter comments on that bit of news e.g. "Tried to avoid being extradited due to sleep deprivation - well, he can sleep on the plane on the way to Washington." and "Never has one man fought so hard for so long to stay in a country he despises. Good riddance".

And what a brilliant way for that Tweeter to show that Hamza really knows whish side his bread is buttered on and respects our country's stance on justice and human rights. We don't always get it absolutely right but we certainly try to. He knows that and honours it in his soul.
