Good luck to all with family weddings to enjoy and best wishes to anybody who is not feeling well.
It is snowing heavily here - the forest opposite my flat is beginning to look very pretty, but I have to go out this evening to get the local nurse to give me my flu jab. It is a strange method here - normally you have to get a prescription from your doctor for the vaccine, get it from the pharmacy, and then ring a nurse (or go back to your doctor) to have the injection. This year, because I had it done last year and I am over 70, they sent me the prescription in the post. The chances of my catching any kind of disease at home are very low, as I don't mingle with anybody, but I will be flying to Manchester for Christmas, and planes are just about the best breeding grounds for every kind of germ!
The nurse is in the next village, but the road will be kept open so I will keep my appointment. Meanwhile, the vaccine is in the fridge.
