Thank you all so much, I think my feet are gently brushing the ground now. I have been up in the clouds since Thursday, it was the most fun day ever!!
We woke to driving rain and it went on and on......
I went to the allotment in the morning and DP posted a pic on FB of me in tatty waterproof and pink wellies, saying was ready
Then just as we were bathing we had a power cut for 20 mins!!
But all preparations went smoothly then, though I had to go without the perfect lippie which was hiding!
We arrived at the Registrars and fromthen on didn't stop grinning! The two women who greeted us and conducted the service were wonderful, kind, calm, funny and so supportive. We walked in to this Let's Do It
Our neice sang a song she had composed, our nephew gave two readings we had chosen for each other and a dear, dear friend had written a poem.
Can you imagine the floods of tears of joy?
I won't bore you except to say that as we said our vows the rain stopped and as we were declared Civil Partners the Sun shone through the large windows and lit up the room!!
. We were able to go out into the lovely gardens and have photographs.
The BGd party was fab, lots of food, cake, music, dancing and a Feral Tribe of children
A white feather drifted down as we entered the room. On the next day a random CD appeared next to the PC and the first picture on it was of my darling, delightful mother who loved DP so much.
So big thanks to all of you lovely Gransnetters who sent your good wishes and love and helped, (with the Goddess!) to let the sun peep through.
(I'll try to put a pic up) EN xx
