annobel & soop just in case you missed my post earlier I can tell you that I am the new nana to 5 kittens 3 all black and 2 tabby,thanks to the philandering of Poppy when she went on the missing list I do love ginger toms though my favourite.

You mean another mutt has been masquerading as Donald/Duncan and getting all nellie's TLC?

It would appear so. Actually the whole thing had been an absolute nightmare, as I have never found the culprit who perpetrated the dreadful deed. Duncan has borne up very well though all things considered. He spends a lot of time in the garden pond sitting on his burnt btm "frogging" it helps keep his mind off things.

This requires investigation by soop of the yard, when she returns from touching up Pepper!

So am I to understand there are two mutts Donald and Duncan identical features distinguishing marks one in Cornwall one in Norfolk but both with burnt derrière

I was the one who provided the lamb (well Dunc actually) for the barbecue, which is how it all started. What a disaster!

Well if that is all the thanks I/Dunc gets for providing you with sustenance - what an ungrateful lot? Poor Dunc came disguised as my familier/cat and has had species problems ever since. If I remember correctly Nellie wasn't even a member of GN then - she is obviously trying to usurp Duncan's rightful place as chief lamb provider.

I just knew it was a very bad idea to let you lot run riot in my absence. Now I'm bound to read all this stuff tomorrow. Then, I've to come to terms that you're all beyond help...[thank goodness!] I like it when you misbehave. Makes me feel almost normal.

Glamma...congrats on the arrival of the kits. I think that I shall have to do a portrait sometime. Get the camera out. I'm feeling chuffed with efforts to get Pepper looking as I wanted. Third time lucky.

Nellie dear, I told you long ago that Donald had a mate called Duncan. How come you didn't believe me? Can't dilly dally at the mo' , more's the pity. I'm dying to know what's been happening in the shed. Must visit it in the morning for my daily fix. Things to do, paints to put away, then a great big G & T and read the newspapers. I can't begin to tell you how much I shall miss you when I'm away - as of Friday. I shall catch up as soon as I return. A laptop would be such a bonus. However, we'll be busy with the wee man, so best not try to acquire one. My addiction is bad enough as it is. How come you lot mean so much to me!!! I know the answer. I'm going to keep you guessing!

On the subject of Donald/Duncan, I dug out the old Glastonbury Party thread, which is here:

It would appear that Donald/Duncan is indeed whitewaves dog (apologies for not remembering! ). It also seems that nellie was not actually there, although soop kept calling for her, so she certainly was a member then. How she and Don/Dunc got together remains a mystery!

Several times recently I have noticed grans agreeing with me or saying I'm right. One of them was jingl. Should I be worried?
