...grow so fast? I have to trim them every few days.

eeeuw - too many antioxidant supplements? too many brazil nuts? Quite tricky to get an excess of selenium otherwise I would think!

Agree jess
We would be hard pressed to find any selenium in the vegetables we eat now a days.
Chemicals and intensive farming have just about depleted the soil of any nutrients really. And selenium particularly.

Wouldn't give selective blackening on one nail only?
In Bristol,we would ask 'have you been handling a lot of money?'

As on 'cash on th nail?'

We have the original nails in Bristol, outside the old corn exchange!

In my teens and early 20s, I frequently used a dandruff preparation called Selsun, that contained selenium. Would this have affected my nails to the extent that I got those splinter haemorrhages?

NO!!!

Oh well, it looks as if I have a healthy diet then.

Bags Wed 11-Jul-12 06:32:46

Which I knew anyway.

Healthy diet too, dreadful nails tho' Probably because I don't take care of them. Ring finger nail always splits in the same place..... spooky!
