We've made a proper pig's ear of booking at Premier Inn [Carlisle] for one night going to see folks and one night coming back. We took advantage of booking on-line at special discount rate. Trouble is...the dates of our trip are one week later than bookings. We CANNOT cancel or change. We have therefore had to make fresh booking. Does anyone know how I could go about selling the reservations [at half the price we paid]...or do we accept and learn from our mistake?
Why not let the hotel know anyway in case there is a traveller on your night desperate for a room? At least you might do someone a good turn. I have a very high opinion of Premier inns.WYSIWYG
I have never yet made that mistake when booking but for those who need an hotel near the channel ports - there is an acceptable Travelodge near the tunnel we have used a few times - I think it is at Junction 9 and the tunnel is junc 11 it is the one described as Ashford. Always cheaper than Premier when I have checked. They do a good help yourself buffet style cooked breakfast too. They do have a limited selection of meals at other times but on the same site is a Frankie and Bennie's etc. We have found the staff to be very helpful.
Bez that is Eureka Park at Ashford, we always stay at the Premier Inn there when crossing the channel. There is also a 24 hour Sainsburys over the footbridge, so handy for forgotten items.
