bags the pollen count for some reason is odd this year. It's been affecting me more than usual.
Sure the pain s respiratory rather than other causes?
Take some pain relief and see if that helps?

Sympathy, Bags. Mr A has COPD and couldn't sleep all last Friday night because of chest pain - had to call in the paramedics and they gave him a blast of nebuliser! It must be terribly draining - especially when there are all those things that need doing...

Oh Bags! You really do need to see someone! I bet jeni will be here telling you that too. Is there a walk in centre or something nearby, or a cottage hospital - I know you live in the country but if the GPncan't help..worried about you. xxx

I take painkillers every day for arthritis, jeni – max dose co-codamol 30/500 most days plus naproxen sometimes for joint pain, plus anti-histamines and aspirin sometimes for rhinitis (it makes my face and head hurt). Nothing helps the chest pain.

PS I don't take aspirin and naproxen on the same day. Aspirin is the only thing that deals with the rhinitis headaches when anti-histamines aren't enough. Sigh again.

have just shoved some sausages and cauliflower cheese in the oven for dinner. Maybe that will help.

Thanks for pushing me to the GP, ariadne, but I've been umpteen times. He's sick of me. Have been sent for chest x-rays several times. Nothing shows up. He keeps suggesting ME but I don't think so as I have plenty of energy except when pain really gets me down.

Naproxen ! Aspirin! Both gastric irritants! Are you SURE it's your chest?

Besides, what can they do about ME even if it is that?

yes. Right under my collar bone, mainly on the right side.

That's what I think, jeni. ME is bullshit as far as I'm concerned.

Also hurts down the right side of sternum. Was diagnosed with costo-chondritis years ago, but it's never gone away. Besides, I had soreness there when I was only sixteen.

Don't be seriously worried, nag. (sweet of you though). I've been chugging along like this for years and years so it can't be serious, just a bloody pain!

OH was very short of breath and had chest pain (he'd also been cutting down hedges and changing the pond filter). The paramedics said pollen could have made his COPD worse, and we figured afterwards that the over-exertion had caused chest strain. Had you been doing anything strenuous, Bags?

As suggested earlier sending you a nag/nag. But quite understand the reluctance. Brother is a GP. Useless lot of fellers and felleresses. Best friend wouldn't go to one if she was dying - unless she broke her leg first.
