Hello to all newbies and apologies that you haven't got a clue who I am or what I'm writing about. I've been absent from GN for almost three months due to a variety of circumstances and below is just a quick catch-up for all my lovely friends on here. (Hoping I'll soon get to know you all and include you in that list.)

Thanks to all who sent pm's. flowers

What an amazing time I've had in my absence:

My English student got a whopping 89% in his exam, so we were both very pleased with that. After two months of immersion teaching I was exhausted by the time he left, but went straight into wedding planning mode.

'You know who' is now married wink and the wedding was wonderful - happily unmarred by the antics of the press. I'll put up some photo's when I have time. Glass you'll be pleased to know I have lost masses of weight through sheer bloody mindedness - I was determined not to be the fatty in the wedding photographs and I'm not!

The Wonderful Man (my husband, for the uninitiated) completed his 3,500 mile cycling trip to the North Cape and is now home, but has been unwell for the past week and in need of lots of TLC. (Happily seems recovered now and back at work)

Eldest son has graduated with a First in Mathematics - very pleased for him as he's worked really hard and he had a killer exam timetable. The ceremony was wonderful and very moving. Interestingly my somewhat blasé family all sent him cards and were absolutely thrilled for him and impressed by his achievement. Same son has also asked his childhood sweetheart to marry him and I'm busily helping them plan their November wedding! grin

I have begun to read through the current threads and hope to catch up on some of the others when I have time.I have really missed you all and I'm so happy to be back. grin grin grin
