24 is not that young to be having a baby, it was fairly normal when we were having our families. Should be mature enough to cope

It seems like a disaster but as jeni says not the first nor last time it will happen. With everyone pulling together then it will make sure this new life is nurtured and loved which is all that matters. It will still be hard for the young parents though - and I think that is why people worry.

It's not the first time in history it's happened. And it won't be the last.in our day it was considered shocking. Not now!

My grandmother kept on st me that all her friends were great grand mothers and she wasnt!

He's 24 but not all that mature....I guess I just cross my fingers and hope!

I just had to calm my daughter down as she feels she needs to know for definite, and it won't happen yet - she says now, she will have to keep her mouth shut and wait!

I could say much the same as glass except that my DS was 20. Now my much loved GD is almost 21, he is happily married to my wonderful DiL with two more children and she gets on well with all of them. I wouldn't have it any other way.

My son and his ex girlfriend have never had a relationship since that two weeks at the time of conception,but they have both been there for DGD and that is all I asked for.

Alie A baby brings its own love. I was a Grandma at 38... my son 16yrs and his girlfriend of two weeks that's all it lasted was 15. Three months later found she was pregnant. But my DGD turned 18 in July and I would not change a thing she brought her love with her. But at the time I was devastated!
