Home again after granny marathon with the little boys. OMG I had forgotten how full on tinies can be and especially 2!! W, the 2 and a bit-year old was fantastic and never got round to a full-on strop (unlike my own children) and T (9 months) very sweet but so active and strong, I am sure he will be walking within the next 6 weeks. It was just juggling being in the right place at the right time, keeping them apart when GS1 wanted to do a floor puzzle or make a rail layout (so, during T's nap) , having meals ready when needed, again T goes from "Oh, might be peckish" to full-on screaming famine in about 45 seconds. Bath time and bedtime were carnage especially when DG wasn't well and I had to "cope" (ha) on my own but all was sweetness and light once I got down to the stories and T's bedtime bottle. Then it was wine o'clock in a big way!!
In your own home with your own babies, you are geared to it aren't you? Otherwise how on earth would I have coped with our own 3 ? I love them unconditionally and my heart lifts at every toothy grin or "Gwanny.....?" but once I had had a text saying they had landed yesterday morning, I found I was counting the minutes!
And to go to bed last night without a baby alarm was bliss - so why did Grace wake me at 4.15 to be let out?????
