Apart from choosing a new name, I've been slathering Germolene on insect bites - how lovely is that? My new name doesn't make one think of Germolene and insect bites! It's the time of year for these and I'm covered in large itchy bumps...grin

Can I have the bacon roll and the champagne as well? Sounds like a perfect combination.

Gracesmum You look lovely in pink, and your dds smile

jeni and Maniac have a wonderful cruise and be disgraceful while you still can!! sunshine

Gally Thu 06-Sept-12 07:22:12

Jeni I do admire a woman who quaffs champagne at 7 in the morning - it makes the bacon roll sound so mundane grin

Gally Thu 06-Sept-12 07:19:01

Lovely pics Gracesmum smile I see from your info that we must have been working in tandem producing our 3 daughters at the same time!

Today spring has most definitely arrived in Oz. We schlepped round Taronga Zoo, the 8 year old, the 6 year old, the 4 year old, the 6 week old and Gally, in temperatures of 29+ degrees. It was straight down to the beach afterwards for a paddle in the rock pool for me and a swim in it for the GC's. Oh how I will miss them - and the heat sad

will catch up with you later.

Littlenellie Wed 05-Sept-12 14:32:34

Oh definitely not sensibility..

gracesmum Wed 05-Sept-12 12:07:33

A rival for "Fifty Shades"? "Senility and Sensibility" ???

jeni Wed 05-Sept-12 11:55:06

Oh no, not that shock

Anagram Wed 05-Sept-12 11:47:35

Or worse - the start of sensibility...shock

jeni Wed 05-Sept-12 11:29:09

I can't believe, we don't leave until 4am and I'm 3/4 packed!
Normally I haven't even started to think about it until about 2hrs before leaving!
What has come over me? I'm worried. Is this the start of senility?confused

kittylester Wed 05-Sept-12 10:37:02

gracesmum - well done flowersbrewcupcake Hope gracesdad is feeling better.

Grace obviously though you'd be lonely! At least she wants to go out, at the moment our dog thinks that it's ok to wee and poo anywhere so long as you've gone through a door first - any door - to the dining room, lounge, hall! Luckily he can't manage the stairs any more!!

Home again after granny marathon with the little boys. OMG I had forgotten how full on tinies can be and especially 2!! W, the 2 and a bit-year old was fantastic and never got round to a full-on strop (unlike my own children) and T (9 months) very sweet but so active and strong, I am sure he will be walking within the next 6 weeks. It was just juggling being in the right place at the right time, keeping them apart when GS1 wanted to do a floor puzzle or make a rail layout (so, during T's nap) , having meals ready when needed, again T goes from "Oh, might be peckish" to full-on screaming famine in about 45 seconds. Bath time and bedtime were carnage especially when DG wasn't well and I had to "cope" (ha) on my own but all was sweetness and light once I got down to the stories and T's bedtime bottle. Then it was wine o'clock in a big way!!
In your own home with your own babies, you are geared to it aren't you? Otherwise how on earth would I have coped with our own 3 ? I love them unconditionally and my heart lifts at every toothy grin or "Gwanny.....?" but once I had had a text saying they had landed yesterday morning, I found I was counting the minutes!
And to go to bed last night without a baby alarm was bliss - so why did Grace wake me at 4.15 to be let out?????grin

Ariadne hope the knee is less painful now smile and you got some sleep.

Ariadne Wed 05-Sept-12 04:06:54

Good morning and happy hols to those of you who are off! Just a weekend in Chichester (a lovely reunion) coming up, in the middle of preparing to move. (But I DID have South Africa this year!)

Today - my knee hurts, which is why I am up at this unearthly hour. Just waiting for the pills to kick in.
