Today I've been.....

Hello all, thank you for your good wishes. I had the mammogram and all went well I think. I will see the consultant in 4 weeks time and hopefully he will tell me that the mammogram is clear .

Annobel I have been in and out trying to sweep up lavender seeds and general detritus at the front and every time I got started.........

Lovely sunny afternoon. Decided to put the washing out instead of tumbling it.
It rained within minutes. Washing is still there as I'm hoping that the evening will be bright, as it was yesterday.

Been to Bluewater after havering about it yesterday, and now have a replacement iPod which is now syncing! AND M&S sale had just started, and Gap Kids so had a very pleasant time.

As I was heading out, I passed Clarks' Kids shoeshop, and it was bedlam. It brought back so many memories "I'm not wearing those etc. Oh well, done my bit there.

Hope all went well glitabo - second that on the desirability of a "good luck" emoticon - 4 leaved/leafed (?) clover?

It is too hot to walk here, so I have been to the local swimming pool - not something I usually like but the French schools have re-opened so it was not too busy. It is open air and surrounded by wonderful scenery and at least I got some exercise today.

I am waiting for the transport to pick me up to take me for my first mammogram since lumpectomy this time last year. I am sure it will be OK but will be glad when I am home again.

I remember the Pontcysylite aquaduct many years aog - we went over in a narrowboat complete with two young children (then aged 4 & 6) and a dog. Did we all have more arms and hands in those days

Good morning butter sounds relaxing.
I am off to pick the two youngest DGC to bring them back here to play with the middle two DGC, so after a day with the four of them I think I will need a little relaxing.
I should really be planning what I need for next week as we are going up to the house for 10 days to get the building moved on but the forecast is rain and more rain until Thursday so it looks as if it will inside work and not the extension, but hopefully from Thursday we should be able to get on outside, sometimes the weather up in the hill bears no relation to the forecasted so fingers crossed.

Up early collecting dried seeds and seed heads for a mate's garden. Very calming.

Scenic but scary

In contrast, Ella, I had a trip along the Canal du Midi from Narbonne to Beaucaire, through the Camargue. There is something so relaxing about travelling at 4 knots per hour!

I've had lots of wonderful times on canal boats Anno, I love being on water.
Greatnan I've done that trip to LLangollen (sp?) in the bitter cold when the daffodils were coming out and it was snowing!

Aha - so G & T is acceptable, Annobel? Do you have any particular brand that you prefer (they have the major brands in my local supermarket).

Our local policeman's wife was called Senga. Naively, I thought she came from Iceland or Scandinavia. Just Agnes backwards
