If DD sees water she is in it. As a small child, despite constant supervision, she was continually falling in it and even in her late 30s can disappear into the sea for hours at a time and swims many miles a week at her local pools. She prefers the local lido, when open to a covere pool.
I love swimming, but having spent part of my childhood in the far east, where I learnt to swim, I like the water warm. Love the local indoor pool but stayed resolutely on the beach on a recent holiday in France when DD & DH were cavorting in the (freezing, to me) sea.
GD, aged 5 takes after, well takes after her aunt, and loves the water. Small brother aged 2 can take it or leave it and on balance would prefer to leave it.
