I tend to wear black trousers and white tee shirts every day, but I doubt if the sheep notice. I used to embarrass my daughter with my eccentric outfits, but after two years in New Zealand she is more tolerant!

Yes, you need it for clothes. Even then I often glance down when I go through the gate to make sure I've put it all on!

Apart from hair and face, what about clothes? I like to check that what I've put on actually looks reasonable, especially to go to work in.
Imagine trying to apply makeup without a mirror! (Those of us who wear it)

If they won't look in the mirror, how do they get on at the hairdresser's? I enjoy seeing a transformation from scruffy to (reasonably) sleek. It doesn't last, of course.

I very rarely look in a mirror - simply because my appearance is not important to me. My short hair doesn't need styling and I don't wear make-up. I did get a surprise when I saw myself reflected in my French windows, as I have lost two stone and it shows. (Not dieting, just walking.)
I think back with amusement to the days when I had a smooth bob which needed putting into place all the time - as soon as I got into a restaurant or bar I would rush to the Ladies to check that I did not have a hair out of place. It is so relaxing to be a DILLIGAF.

It wouldn't work for me! I'd spend all day being insecure about whether my hair was a mess! confused

I have a friend who won't ever have her photo taken, is that the same?

There was an item on Today (Radio 4) this morning about women deliberately deciding never to look at themselves in the mirror in order to overcome their insecurities over their appearance. I thought this was a bit weird. Not sure how it would work.
