As time is galloping on could you please add your name to the thread if you are coming to gally's on the 3rd of October. Then we can talk about the catering once we have established who is coming. smile

Mine too, thanks soop A lovely thought.

I just wish I had not tilted my head up. I always seem to do that for photographs.

Mr E did the same - in our wedding photos the light is refleced off his tilted specs so he looks like a mad professor.

Hello everyone, sorry I have been missing for a few days. Soop, I'll send you my address when I have finished writing this.

I've had a bad few days. Back in May I had my gallbladder removed and since August I have been suffering more and more with "gallbladder" type episodes. I have been backwards and forwards to the doctors for blood tests; the latest episode started earlier this week and has just gone on and on ... However, at my latest visit to the doctor this morning they decided that they think I have a blocked duct (possibly with leftover gallstones). I am now on a pain management plan and they have written to the hospital asking for treatment asap; with a warning to me that if the plan doesn't work they might just send me to A&E to sort out.

I feel like a wet week, am so drained and lethargic; and, needless to say, I am hoping that I hear from the hospital soon. (When I had the gallbladder out they offered me the following week - I bet this isn't so quick!).

GillieB How wretched. I hope all this is sorted out soon and you are feeling better. flowers

Bags Fri 12-Oct-12 15:26:53

Oh, what rotten luck, gillieB! I hope it is sorted soon for you flowers. It was lovely meeting you at gally's.

GillieB Fri 12-Oct-12 15:40:12

Thanks, absentgran and bags. Feeling very depressed about the whole thing, to be honest. When I had a gallbladder I only had the episodes every four-five months, this is far, far worse.

I'm glad I managed to get up to Edinburgh last week - I was so enthusiastic about meeting Moomin and Glass for lunch, too, when they dropped me off at home in the evening. I guess that'll be on hold for a bit.

Dear GillieB...bless you. Gallstone pain is sheer agony. Whenever I suffered it, I thought that I was having a crushing heart attack. Morphine was the only thing that dealt with the pain. My gall bladder was removed 13 years ago. I've 22 gallstones in a wee jar! Luckily, I've had no further problems in that area. I'm sending positive vibes and trusting that your problems will be dealt with as a matter of urgency. Much love flowers
