Well I'm back having seen him hooked up to his antibiotics. He's still in resusc (sp??) but I'm sure they'll need the bay ere long, things were getting very lively in MK A&E as I was leaving around midnight. You do hear such awful things - e.g. a young man was brought in having accidentally hanged himself as a Halloween stunt. I heard the paramedic say his feet were off the ground for a whole 2 minutes but they had a pulse and although he wasn't breathing unaided, it sounded as if he would pull through. There were so many police there!! DH had felt dizzy and nauseous so went off to bed around 6 and was beginning to run a temperature. It climbed as the evening went on and at 38.6 we decided enough was enough so rang Royal Free and they said to get him into hosp asap. He wasn't well enough to make it downstairs and to the car with just me so had to go by ambulance and I'm glad he did as he needed oxygen on the way over, also his temp went up to 39.6. Anyway, to cut a long story short, he was looking much more comfortable when I left, temp back down to 37.something, heart rate and blood pressure down and on fluids and IV antibiotics. I have seen him considerably worse so feeling quite calm - just wide awake!!!
Thank you for your good wishes xx
