I did post a new thread in reply to this but it's vanished !

The thread is actually about my brother/mum/DD. There are good reasons which I explained in the other thread.

I was just curious to know what his neighbours would be thinking. Especially one that he has had rows with over other things in the past.

I would have expected mostly c's from you lovely lot smile

ninathenana - what are your own concerns about this though? It sounds as if there's a bit more to this? confused

I think a) but if you are only on nodding terms with your neighbour how do you even know all this?

POGS Fri 12-Oct-12 00:12:35

a Unless you seriously think you have cause to think there is something underhand. If you know the mother is in a home go and visit her, you are a neighbour it might settle your mind. If you have never had contact with her then definately a.

I know its late at night but I don't quite see the point of this. Is this a hypothetical situation?

I'd think all three in turn with the added wonder how I could find out!!

Marelli Thu 11-Oct-12 22:33:52

I think 'c', ninathenana. Which would you choose? hmm

You found out that your neighbour who you were only on nodding terms with. Had put his 86 yr old mum who had lived with him (in his house) for the past 8 yrs in a Care Home. Was planning on moving in with his "lady friend" who lives a 90 min drive away. And intended to rent the house to his niece.

a) none of my business
b) poor old lady, he's sent her out of the way
c) I don't know enough to decide
