No, this is not about bereavement, but perhaps a similar feeling of "Was it something I/we said?" I too have tried to pm a GNetter only to be told that is not a valid nickname, so susiecb and littlenellie why did you go?
Of course it is your prerogative and I don't mean to be nosey, but it is sad, especially when you suspect there might be trouble at home and can no longer send support. So if either of you is out there under a different name - I wish you well and still hope it wasn't something we said flowers

I confess - I have been suffering withdrawal symptoms because I am away from home and the connection in the apartment here is patchy.
It is not just the fun of chatting though - I have made some very real friends through Gransnet, some of whom I have had the pleasure of meeting. If I lived in England, I would probably travel long distances to join in the meetings. (I drove 414 miles last week to get from the Alps to the Pyrenees, so a couple of hundred miles would not deter me!)

No, jane - hadn't you noticed my frequent appearances? And I am not the only other one!

janeainsworth Sun 21-Oct-12 18:41:54

Divawithattitude Sun 21-Oct-12 18:34:21

Ditto Helshea, well the bit about life getting in the way!

helshea Sun 21-Oct-12 18:00:45

I was here from pretty much the beginning of Gransnet.. but I have to admit to floating in and out. Life commitments just get in the way sometimes. But I do like to come back and stir it up now and then.
