Hi Pud I am an Emmerdale watcher but last night I got an urgent phone call from sister in distress (mild) and missed most of it. 
Did it go well? Did any of the cast make a major mistake? I know there were two births which must have been a nightmare to perform live in front of millions of people.
Live births on TV...always makes me think of Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em and Betty having her baby in the middle of the Nativity Play.

Hello Pud, pleased to meet you! I did see Emmerdale last night - and thought how daft it was! Imagine all of those people (of both genders) watching and getting involved in a birth! DH watches Emmerdale regularly, and gets really annoyed when I keep asking him why so-and-so did such-and-such while I'm sitting here blethering away Gransnet!
Did anyone see Corrie the other night, though? It was 'Miss Diane' from Crossroads! Really seems to have aged.....then when I think of it...she's about the same age as me....says she, dashing away to look in the mirror!
