Should I get up?

Just to cut off one reply, yes I know I'm posting this at nearly 1pm, but I was originally going to post it just before 9 this morning. I've been busy GN-ing, phoning, writing etc since so all good stuff [devil emoticon]

So, should I get up?

Aside from food and Other Functions, of course!

crimson Sun 21-Oct-12 12:56:11

Do you want to?

Ana Sun 21-Oct-12 12:57:32

Or do you just want permission not to? grin

annodomini Sun 21-Oct-12 13:09:38

Why? confused

gracesmum Sun 21-Oct-12 13:35:24

Beginning to wish I hadn't angry

annodomini Sun 21-Oct-12 13:40:21

Yes, Gracesmum, I know how you feel. Now that I have made the effort to get up and have a shower and lunch, I am feeling guilty because I am sitting here with G'net and not going out in the garden with a fork to destroy some weeds.

crimson Sun 21-Oct-12 13:43:20

I was like that last Sunday, but felt good once I'd braved the elements [actually it was really mild last Sunday; a bit grim today, at least, oop north it is!].

isthisallthereis Sun 21-Oct-12 13:45:49

crimson I didn't mean go out, I meant get up! One think at a time!

btw. I'm not depressed. Maybe lacking verve or zip, but not depressed! smile

isthisallthereis Sun 21-Oct-12 13:47:00

think = thing. Although "one think at a time" reads rather well! Either.

annodomini Sun 21-Oct-12 13:51:14

Not a bit grim here, to the west of you, crimson - bright sun, blue sky, glorious autumn colours. And my windows need washing...

crimson Sun 21-Oct-12 13:58:30

isthis;I was replying to anno and giving her permission to 'not' do the garden. In fact, blue sky here now, but got an excuse to not go out as still tidying the computer room up after the TalkTalk disaster.

..I'd stay in bed all day if I had the chance, I'm afraid. I'm terribly lazy.

annodomini Sun 21-Oct-12 14:09:06

If I have a good book, it's a major effort to get out of bed - always has been, ever since I learnt to read. GD2 is taking after me.

isthisallthereis Sun 21-Oct-12 14:15:17

This all sounds very healthy! smile

gracesmum Sun 21-Oct-12 14:17:19

What happenend to "day of rest"?? Always sounded like a good idea to me and regretted that a) being female b) being a Mum c) being a teacher meant I had permanent exemption.

AlieOxon Sun 21-Oct-12 14:22:56

I was resting, but I got hungry.

annodomini Sun 21-Oct-12 14:23:15

'Permanent' needn't last forever, gracesmum. wink

gracesmum Sun 21-Oct-12 14:55:55

The teaching didn't but the "day of rest" hasn't quite kicked in. What is it they say about "one man's Sunday dinner......."?

Mishap Sun 21-Oct-12 14:59:45

Get up? - heavens no! - just settle in with a good book.

jeni Sun 21-Oct-12 15:18:24

I wanted to stay in bed but I had to do the washing and read the files for tomorrow.sad
Still, might be able to on tuesdaygrin

isthisallthereis Sun 21-Oct-12 16:14:42

Well I'm up you lot.

isthisallthereis Mon 22-Oct-12 00:34:22

Didn't achieve much. Bed again. I like bed smile
