That would be a very handy little income wouldn't it? smile

Thanks gracesmum reckon I'm currently savings DSs £300-400 per week but don't expect to see the colour of their money.

Oops - just realised my link was NOT the right one! blush
Sorry about that!

Thank you Frankel !! (How are you feeling now? Is the half marathon on or off?)

whitewave Thu 25-Oct-12 11:48:50

Yes that has long been recognized by amongst others anthropologists, it is nothing new. Women generally are seen as the main nurturers within the family group and it's survival is almost entirely down to her.

No mention of Grandads, I see. Just got the baby to sleep and now off to play with the other one!

it was her weekly column and the title of this part was "Saviour of the future of humankind? It's Granny" Her other topics were "It's not Liz who should be leaving the Beeb" and "Here's one I didn'tmake earlier" if that helps to direct you to it.( Why do my links never do just that? hmm)

Grannies link

whenim64 Thu 25-Oct-12 11:38:28

Yes, I saw it, too. This link doesn't work unfortunately gracesmum but it was about grandmothers' role in extending life spans as humans evolved, by helping with feeding their grandchildren (there's a lot more in the article) smile

Bags Thu 25-Oct-12 11:37:45

I tried that. What's the title of the article?

gracesmum Thu 25-Oct-12 11:34:32

Nooooooooooooo!! Link doesn't work! Maybe www.telegraph.co.uk then look under Allison Pearson??

gracesmum Thu 25-Oct-12 11:32:51

Did anybody else see her column in today's Telegraph? Recognition for Grannies at last - www.telegraph.co.uk/allisonpearson - and only echoes what we read daily on GransNet. Thank you Allison Pearson!
