I think it's children that need full fat milk as parents were keeping them on low fat diets which they don't need. I did that with my boy when he was quite young; one day he went to the fridge, took a tub of margarine out and started eating it, his little body saying to him 'gimme some fat'.

I thought full-fat milk was supposed to be fine these days....can't keep up! We went through a period of using semi-skimmed, but have reverted to full-fat now - it's not as though we drink gallons of it!

On rereading my post I realise it sounds as middle class a whinge as moaning about the parking at Waitrose!!!gringrin

Only get cream on proper milk and apparently that's poison and if you drink it you'll d i e !!

I too use skimmed milk thinking its better for me, I'm fine with it on cereal as long as I don't look at it grin it looks like dish water but tastes fine.. I remember in days gone by I'd use the cream from two bottles of milk on my corn flakes... my Mum used to go mad at me. Don't get cream on the milk anymore sad

I have used skimmed milk for many years...in the belief that it's better for me hmm but I can's say I like it much. When I was a child I loved drinking sterilized milk, you don't see that these days.

I don't understand skimmed milk; it's like funny coloured water..not sure what purpose it serves [and isn't it a lot more expensive than full fat/skimmed?].

Quite right to get annoyed - people just not doing their jobs properly. I am having continuing problems with a large electrical retailer (begins with C but not the one that has just announced it is going to close!).

First they delivered the wrong fridge freezer, then when they delivered the correct one the freezer didn't work. Am now waiting for a call back about replacing that one. The manager was supposed to ring me "first thing this morning" when I hadn't got a call by 10.30 I rang only to find he wasn't in today! I spoke to someone else and he was going to sort something out for me and ring back as I had to go out. When I got back home there was a message asking me to ring back asap. I telephoned and left a message and was told he would ring me as soon as he had finished with a customer. That was 1 1/2 hours ago!!

No you're not! Skimmed milk is an abomination!

I can't get papers delivered, but if I did and was left the wrong one, that would make me angry

Oh my have I got out of bed on the grumpy side!! Had wrong paper delivered so Grace got an impromptu walkie early this morning as I trekked round to "find" ours - only 2 houses involved - I had number 16's, they had number 15's who had ours! Then when I came home I saw that our lovely milkman had deliverd skimmed instead of semi-skimmed milk -OK I can live with it. But AIBU???smile
