C'mon let's stick up for the over 50s. Who are your heart-throbs. Let's say over 50. Preferably well over. And alive!

For me:
Helen Mirren
Albert Finney
Charlotte Rampling
Joan Bakewell
Clive James (I hope he's still alive!)
Anthony Hopkins
Felicity Kendal
Harry Belafonte (he doesn't need to sing)
James Dyson (Designer)
Richard Rogers (Architect)

Now that would be the basis for a fun party! Now where's that thread on favourite cocktail recipes?

I live a sheltered life grin But nobody controls what goes on in my head; certainly I don't! gringrin

Has someone already suggested Joanna Lumley? Not my heart throb but a lovely woman.

Or it could be the roles you have seen them in.

I'm overthinking this.

Can't stand Melvyn Bragg!

I think with older celebs their character comes into play more, as to whether you fancy them or not. Just because they've been around so long.

Agree about Hugh Laurie. Love him.

Was so gorgeous in House.

Not Melvyn Bragg's hair!! shock
It is clear that mature men (and women) beat the Barbie doll girls and "pretty" boys hands down - or have my tastes just changed? hmm

Oldgreymare Wed 07-Nov-12 09:41:14

Without doubt Melvyn Bragg..... spotted him, in the flesh, on my last visit to London....... corrrrrrrr! Not a hair out of place, and what a wonderful head of hair!
