I've just had a lovely surprise! My son, who NEVER remembers my birthday has sent me a card and a cd of the Tallis Scholars. I'm going to see them on the 12th, so that is super.

Happy belated birthday to glitabo

My mother and father were born on the same day.
So they did not miss out I gave them both their gifts on their birthday.
I took Mum out for her Birthday meal as close as possible to her birthday ( obviously Dad came ) and Dad got his half way through the year (again Mum was there).
We had 8 50th wedding aniversaries in 6 months in our family and they had to be combined.
All of them said they probably did not feel so special but they all said that the fact all these marriages had lasted far outweighed this.
My marriage only lasted 26 years but this was due to my wife passing away with cancer.

Sounds as if you have many happy memories, HF - cherish these.
