Seems ages since we had a quiet corner bolt hole, so how about a new seasonal one ?
Just a little spot to come and visit from time to time and re-charge batteries. Nothing heavy or serious ever happens in here, it's a place for bantering and smiling.
If it's a Grotto, maybe a few twinkly lights over the entrance? Plenty of squishy sofas for relaxing. I've left a plate of mince pies on the table and a flask of hot chocolate, so help yourselves.
Does anyone have any nice scented candles?

Been to the U3A Christmas tea party. Didn't win the quiz or the raffle 
Last year, won a big box of chocolates! There were plenty of friends there, though one is down with noro virus. I am quite concerned about travelling by train at the weekend. Should I be?

Ok, enjoy your day, those of you who are resting here but may I have a really comfy seat when I get back please as it's babysitting day and Christmas Fever is raging in their house. Just a soothing hot chocolate with cream, marshmallows and a flake will be nice if there happens to be any around. 
I'm back in and feeling brilliant today! Spent some time yesterday with my friend who had an op for cancer last Thursday, came home on Friday and looks fantastic She has been told it hasn't spread to the lymph nodes but was in a blood vessel which sounds pretty good to me. I was really worried about her but she looked so well and positive that I woke up this morning feeling on top of the world.

I have been shopping and cooking in preparation for the apocalypse. aka my post christmas visitation from DD, Sil and baby GS. He won't yet be able to sample all the lovely goodies I have prepared, well not directly.
Also entertaining the local church goers with our choirs christmas carol concert.
More cooking. I am shattered. I must wrap some present before new year. sigh.
Well bring it on I am finished, got a funeral tomorrow morning then to the crib service in the afternoon phewwwwwwww..........I never want to enter another shop until at least Easter
Done! By 4.00 p.m. There was only one thing left that needed cleaning, and that was me. Am now fragrant and clean, hair done, PJs on. Now, here's to us, my lovely friends! xxxxx
Can I just loll on a sofa for a few minutes? My son cooked a huge roast dinner for me this evening as I declined the offer to have Christmas day with them, because my very obnoxious ex will be there along with a couple of other 'difficult' people!
Life's just too short for that sort of agony!
