Just a little spot to come and visit from time to time and re-charge batteries. Nothing heavy or serious ever happens in here, it's a place for bantering and smiling.
If it's a Grotto, maybe a few twinkly lights over the entrance? Plenty of squishy sofas for relaxing. I've left a plate of mince pies on the table and a flask of hot chocolate, so help yourselves.

Been offline for 36 hours so a bit late Grace but love your poem. I can't contribute anything else until I've been shopping as I've been at DS's house and he's taken loads of mince pies and 2 Christmas cakes as he is sure he will need them all before we next see him - Dunday I think that is!
Far to lazy to make the chocvod, think I will be quite happy with vodka in one hand and choc in the other, much easier and instant!

I've just bought a lovely selection of Christmas Cake decorations at the local bakers....at a fraction of the price being charged by supermarkets

I was hoping to bring Lidl gingerbread house for us to all make up together as someone said they were the best you can get in the UK but they didn't have any so it looks like its just the brandy for now.
I've just popped by to leave the friendship cake for any one who wants it. It's in the tin next to movedalot's brandy. It's like a christmas cake but a bit lighter. No icing but spicy, fruity and yummy. Off to prepare for early christmas dinner with other friends. Enjoy.

I have a 7-year-old learning to play the violin and a 10-year-old on the trombone, though I haven't heard her yet! Anything but let her sing!
Not for the fainthearted: here's some of my ginger cake made with crystallised ginger, stem ginger (with syrup). lots of fruit and half a bottle of rum. Don't drive after eating it...
Can I sit next to you Movedalot and have some of your delicious ginger cake please Anno, it sounds delicious. On Wednesday I made gingerbread men with GS4 and then we decorated then. Tomorrow I'm driving to Adelaide for two weeks to visit GDs 7 and 4 where I will again be making gingerbread men I hope I am not over the limit from that ginger cake. I will probably do the same for GSs 6 and 4 in Brisbane who I will be visiting over Christmas. I also have ginger growing in the garden somewhere.
Wow Faye you are going to be busy! It all sounds fun though. Yes, come and sit be me and I won't even steal your ginger cake as I don't like it! I'll be eating the friendship cake and drinking the brandy. It will all be warm and cosy.
The friendship cake is flump's and I'd love the recipe too!
