Does anyone else think that there is far too much petty bickering on GN

IMHO there would have been far fewer wars in history if men had had the sense to segue into mince pies and icing when things got a bit heated.
Me? I'm working on the pickled peaches to serve with the ham on Boxing Day. (To go with the pickled people, I expect )

I've been studying recipes on the internet. Amazing how many ways there are to make shortcrust pastry.

One or two might get eaten. A few Some get frozen.

How many mince pies are you making, jingl?

I always think turning-over-at-the-top snowdrifts look quite nice.

I've been icing one as well, and I can't get my snowdrifts to stay up - and Daisy the white-haired cat [ is being curious. I'm trying to keep her out of the kitchen but it's difficult to get a cat to be biddable, isn't it?
