Is there no end to the cheek of this man grin

He's announced his engagement to a girl who is a mere 50 years' younger than he, and intends to run for a fourth term in office.

He is indeed beyond belief. Of course once you are PM you can get all kinds of laws past that mean that PMs cannot be prosecuted or sent to prison.
Surely, surely, surely the Italians will not vote him in again, after all that has passed. The economy! The scandals! The corruption! The sheer blooming stupidity of electing a PM that owns a chunk of the media!
Not beyond the realms though is it, given they have before and given that they probably don't like the idea of austerity and knuckling down to what Merkel says they should be doing. shock

What a farce! But do you ever suspect that in Italian (male) eyes he might enjoy a sort of "*respck*??"

Meant to come out as " respeck "

I thought he'd been convicted of fraud and given a prison sentence. How come he's still at large and allowed to stand for office again? confused

Wasn't it Barnum who said no-one ever went broke under estimating the intelligence of people (or something like that)

I find it amazing the Italians suffer him. They really do seem to like all this bunga bunga party stuff. Takes all sorts. confused

Have any of you ever seen Italian TV - it's not all Inspector Montaball [?spelt] I can tell you. On a visit there a friend and I sat on our beds in the hotel room with our jaws dropping. Made the worst of our tv positively intellectual - it would give you some idea of why they have someone like him in charge.
