According to an advertisement currently running, it would seem that men don't age they become "fatigued".

L'Oreal have a range of skin care products for men, the "Men Expert Hydra Energetic Anti-Fatigue Moisturiser", to name but one.

Apparently it "helps fight the 5 signs of skin fatigue" namely:
1. LOOKS DULL
2. FEELS DRY
3. FEELS ROUGH
4. FEELS LESS FIRM
5. FEELS TIGHT
(the capital letters are theirs, by the way, copied from the newspaper advertisement)

Now, I'm no scientist, but if you consider point 4 in the list, surely if something is less firm, then it might be considered wobbly or slack, in which case if the skin felt point 5 after using, then that might be considered a "good thing" ?

So, in conclusion, products are marketed to women under the "anti-ageing" banner, but to men as "anti-fatigue".

I can just see it now, two chaps meeting in the street after one of them has been using the products " Oh Roger, you ARE looking well, I didn't like to mention it, but last time I bumped into you, I thought to myself, "Trevor, Roger is starting to look quite fatigued these days" and now here you are not looking fatigued at all! What is your secret?"

On the other hand, perhaps not.............

I've never read anything like it. Very funny!

However, it's put me off my breakfast.

Anne58 Tue 18-Dec-12 08:43:47

No, JessM and although I have seen them before, this time around you should be thanking Nanado as she added it!

JessM Tue 18-Dec-12 08:29:31

TEARS running down cheeks here. if you only click on one link this year, this Amazon one should be it.
The one with Hugh Laurie looking 20 years younger - presumably due the anointing of his face with L'Oreal antifatigue goop - was pretty amusing too. You are a total tart Hugh! I hope you are giving a lot of money to charity, that is all I can say!
A thousand thanks phoenix - you didn't write the reviews did you?

whenim64 Tue 18-Dec-12 08:10:45

I just sent those reviews to a few people with the same sense of humour as me. Took me a while as I couldn't see for laughing till I cried. Abolutely hilarious. More, please grin

Fondasharing Tue 18-Dec-12 07:44:32

Nanado. thank you also from me. I have not laughed out loud for so long (Dad ill for the last four weeks) and I actually cried with laughter at all the reviews on this product, particularly the one from the Secret Police in Damascus!!!!! If you find any more like this, what the hell...keep on posting!! Thank you.
