A friend wishes to borrow our cot quilt over Christmas for her GS. As it is difficult for me to go up and down stairs on crutches, I asked my OH if he would bring the quilt down next time he went up. About an hour later I went into the dining room to find the cot mattress on the table! "What is that?" I asked. "It's the cot quilt" says he.

The ensuing discussion finished up with me crawling up the stairs to find the quilit and him saying: "Well how am I supposed to know the difference between a quilt and a mattress? - I am not a woman!" Hmmmm! Deep breath!

Oh dear! He does know the difference, just wasn't listening properly and as he is a bloke there was no way he was going to admit he was wrong! grin

My ex-husband couldn't distinguish between an elasticated carrycot sheet and my knickers! Guess what he brought me to wear on the day I was discharged with our first born? grin

I would like to have seen you in it when!!

What planet do these lovely chaps live on?!

I have one like that at home! We have lived in the same house for over 25 years and I asked him to get some linen out the other day and he didn't know where to get it from. It has been in the airing cupboard all along and he opens the door often to check the water temperature. I give up.......

nanapug they are all the same. Mine just wrote carrots on the shopping list right under where I had written carrots! When I was leaving hospital and going straight to the theatre he brought me a dress and pop socks instead of tights!

My "patience moment" was yesterday when DH was going to trim the base of the Christmas tree. (Having left it until it was dark.) He was in my "Wendy House" (garden shed) to you, looking for my pruning saw.
"What had I done with it." "Why wasn't it where it should be."

So Nellie goes in with a torch, looks in the tray, and just moves a couple of garden gloves from on top of the pruning saw.

"It's where it usually is in the black tray." said I."

"Well I don't know where it is I looked in there." Said he! So I left him to find it for himself, but it still wasn't there.

Why don't men try just try moving something else when looking for things ?
Do they think that if something is invisible it has ceased to exist.

(Its all my fault of course.) I think I am past laughing. angry

Mine is right now. DH tired and frayed. Too much frustration and travelling at work. Working from home this afternoon. Told him about something I had done which I consider an achievement. He opens his mouth, sighs and says "Oh well..." I say "Take a deep breath and think before you finish that sentence" but sure enough, a dampening remark comes out. I say "I could see a dampening remark coming then" Does he know how to say sorry? Does he 'eck. Certainly not when tired and frayed.
A classic. He gets it from his mum. Am trying not to get into hurt or anger because it is really not a good moment to have a confrontation.

Have some wineJess

I have just had another good one. OH likes to cook his own really hot curry, which he has just done. He then washed up the stuff he used but left the four glasses that were waiting to be washed. I asked him why he had washed up but left the glasses. He replied " I didn't think about it"...... I give up!
