This book is about using the cat fur for felting projects. So now I've had to source a felting tool etc - where will it end! I never even knew such a craft as felting existed .... But you're never too old to learn.

Had a British shorthair whose mum was a chinchilla and I couldn't believe the amount of hair that I brushed out of her on a daily basis [she hated it and used to attack me]. There was more hair than cat. Golden cockers always remind me of Lady and the Tramp [one of the reasons why I wanted a spaniel; didn't get one till I grew up, though].

When I groomed my golden cocker in springtime I would put the fur out in the garden and the birds used it to fill their nests...... sorry to go off thread. grin

I have a beautiful long-haired ginger cat and groom her regularly, finishing up with a large collection of her gorgeous light, soft, sandy-coloured fur. I've often wondered if anyone has ever spun this into yarn to make a garment! I suppose you'd have to be careful where you wore though it in case you sat next to someone with an allergy to cats!!!!
