So pleased to hear you enjoyed your family day and that your dog benefited from the outing by way of doggy bag,my Barney has been doing his marching impression up and down the kitchen because I have a joint in the oven,he thinks it is going to jump out into his dish, fat chance of that say's I.

Hi glammanana

I did take the family out for a meal at the Harvester and most of us had chicken.
We all kept a bit for the dog and he eat it immediately.
Some of it was plain and some of it was curried but he enjoyed it.
He looked very proud walking through the park today with all of the family.
I think he was telling other dogs that he had the best family in the world but I am not sure if they agreed as they all looked well loved.
We then went back home and one of my daughters managed to get some pork pies which combined with other food we had gave us an enjoyable family tea at home.
The dog is now looking as if he wants his final walk so I better go.

Your dog goes as far as the garden, Frank. Pray tell, where am I going wrong [puddle to clean up this morning yet again; no not me]. Have a nice meal out/in/wherever. When I lived in Cornwall in my mis spent youth I often had a lift home from the local police [I did live about 15 miles from the pub and it was a long walk home after closing time sad]; but that was soo long ago. Happy New Year to you smile.

hunter the police where probably just checking you where ok on your way home there have been alot of people walking on their own assaulted according to the news reports so they where only doing their job I think.I would never dream of driving after anything to drink even the smallest amount can affect your responses so not worth the risk, anyway I would hate to loose the use of my car it is my pride and joy.Enjoy to-day if you decide to go for a family meal,I am being head chef at DDs and catering for the family as everyone knows on here I love cooking and enjoy every minute except the washing up but to-day I promise to load the dishwasher as I go along.smile

Happy New Year HUNTERF - sounds like you had a good start to 2013! Have a good time with your family today, and perhaps bring the pooch a doggy-bag back with you? smile

Went to the club last night and got to bed at 1am.
Did not drink a lot and I may have been ok to drive home. 2 police cars passed me on the way back and I noticed 1 take a look at me even though I was walking.
Dog has done his first check on the garden and has found it to be the same as in 2012.
I am thinking about taking the family for a meal today if they have not got any food which is due to expire.
